He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Samuel Miller Vance Jr. and Laetitia Vance (VanDeventer); his wife Virginia Catherine Kaufmann; his children, Chris, Samuel Matthew Vance (Amy) of Stillwater, OK, Lynette Marie Billings (James) of Gilroy, CA and Christopher Edward Vance (Janet) of Worcester, NY; his grandchildren, Sarah Grimm, Vance Billings, Calvin Billings, June Billings, Andrew Vance and Christina Vance; his great grandchildren, Jake Grimm, Claire Grimm, Olivia Grimm, Kora Vance and Eli Vance; and his siblings, Mary Martha Danforth of Citrus Heights, CA and Laetitia Gervais of Liberty Hill, TX. He was also cherished by many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, a great nephew and many wonderful friends.
