She is survived by: her husband James "Bill" Stephens; her children, Todd Stephens (Kim) and Darci Fitch (Mike); her grandchildren, Morgan Hersha (Jacob), Alaina Horton (Caleb VI), Mackenzie and Alison Luck; and her great grandchildren, Caleb Horton VII, Brynlee Horton and Quincy Hersha.

Verna Dee Stephens, 82, of Kalkaska, ended her long battle with Alzheimer's Dementia on December 19, 2025.
