Betty J. Kielpinski Obituary
Betty Jean Kielpinski, age 94, passed away April 27, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born on May 4, 1930, to the late Roy & Eva (Hall) Reid in Gladwin, Michigan. Betty was raised on the family farm in Gladwin, Michigan and graduated from Gladwin class of 1949. She met Leonard Hubert Kielpinski at the Highwood Dance Hall, they married on August 7, 1949.
Betty loved gardening, flowers, canning (everything she could), crocheting, feeding family and friends, but most of all she loved being a wife, mother, homemaker, and being self-employed. She was a loving, adventurous, and passionate person.
She leaves behind her son; Terry (Ellen Upham) Kielpinski, several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, special friends; Keith & Teresa Bock, Sandy Friedle, Marylin Friedle, Ann Buznowski, and Pat Kossic. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Leonard, daughter Sandra Twining, her siblings, and special friend Olga Doerr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10:00 am at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church 3516 E. Monroe Rd. Midland, with Rev. Richard Filary presiding, with burial in New Calvary Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Friday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rivertown Funeral Chapel. And on Saturday at church from 9:00 am until time of service.
