Bonnie A. Kasper Obituary
With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Bonnie Alma Kasper (née Lauria), age 84, on January 19, 2026. Born on April 1, 1941, to the late Clayton and Alma Lauria, Bonnie grew up with a strong sense of family, faith, and perseverance that carried her throughout her life.
A 1959 graduate of Handy High School, Bonnie went on to work for several local businesses before retiring from B&K Corporation in 2007 with 23 years of service. She served with dedication as an executive secretary and her work ethic, warmth, and steady presence left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.
Bonnie found joy in life's simple and beautiful moments. She lovingly tended her rose bushes, filled her home with the music of Elvis, and delighted her family with her holiday baking—traditions that will be cherished for generations.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ron; daughters Debbie (Jeff) Maslin and Tami Lee (Aaron Darnell); stepdaughter Shirlee (Harvey) Maxwell; and stepson David (Andrea) Kasper. She was a proud grandmother to Christopher (Tara) Maslin, Kayli (Jordan) Goss, Baylee (Carter) Adams, Brandi (Brendyn) Claerhout, and Garrett Darnell; and a loving great‑grandmother to Riley, Nora, Allie, Russell, Ella, Cohen, and Sophia.
Bonnie is also survived by her sister Jeannie (the late John) Laverty, brother Del (Mary) Lauria, and sisters‑in‑law Janet Groulx and Barb Lauria.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers LaVerne (Jan) Lauria and Robert Lauria; sister Lila (Robert) Hompstead; stepson Timothy Kasper; and her first husband, Gerald Peters, who passed at a young age.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Bayfield Assisted Living for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion shown to Bonnie over the past three years.
Bonnie's legacy lives on in the love she gave, the traditions she nurtured, and the family she treasured. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bonnie's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
