Charles W. Chevalier Obituary
Chuckie, Charlie, Chevy (if we're going way back)- whatever you called him, he was still an ornery S.O.B., but he loved his people fiercely! If you knew him, he probably pulled you out of a ditch, roofed your house or fixed your car.
Our beloved Charles Chevalier passed away late on April 25th, 2026, peacefully while napping on his couch recovering from surgery.
He collected friends starting back in first grade with his oldest friend who became a brother, Bill (Wally) Gordert. He had more friends than I can mention, all of whom he tempted fate with too many times! Chuckie's family would like to specifically thank Joe Kitner and Richard Minaro for always ensuring he was taken care of, and an honorable mention to Jimmy Pierce, for always keeping him on his toes!
He called his parents, Chuck (Pops) and Corky (Mama), faithfully twice a day. He had a special bond with both of them. His sister, Cassey (Brat), is mad at him that he didn't hang around longer to help with the old folks but prays he has found peace! He often bragged about his oldest son, Brent (Gus), proud of his hard work and parenting! He loved his grandson, Brayden, beyond this world and would have given his life for him in a heartbeat. Son Aaron and he may have butted heads like fathers and sons do, but their bond remained unbreakable.
He grieved deeply when his big brother, Johnny (Bones), died in '05, then again with the passings of his son Adam (Budger) and his precious wife, Sue (Sally), in quick succession. But we are grateful for the happiness he found in the end with Cara (Baby Girl) Sasse.
It is worth also mentioning the special and unique relationships he had with Nephew Bill and Nieces Claire and Tabea.
Thank you all, friends and family alike, for the love you poured into him. Rest in Peace, Son, Brother, Friend. Visitation with be held at Lee Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel on Friday, May 1 from 5-8pm.
