Don Alan Lambie Obituary
Don was born to Donald and Vivian Lambie on April 26th, 1943, in Lansing Michigan. Don fought courageously for over five years, and the Lord called him to the gates of heaven on August 29, 2026.
Don is preceded in his death by his father Donald and Mother Vivian Lambie. Don is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Judy {Pennington) Lambie, Don and Judy's sons Scott (Teresa) Lambie, Mark (Donna) Lambie, Troy Lambie. Don truly enjoyed his grandchildren Scott Lambie, Karlie (Dave) Mandziara, Kiplan (Hailey) Lambie, and great grandchildren Breslin, Brooks, Maverick. Loved ones also include Audrey (Corban) Robbe, Becky (Mark) Reffitt, Jessica (Cody) Mitter, Jake Marks, Sophie, Gavin, Ella, Liam, Ezra.
Don's early life was centered around hunting, fishing and sports. Don graduated from Lansing Sexton in 1961. He was a member of the 1960 Sexton's boys basketball Class A State Championship and an inductee into the school's Sports Hall of Fame. Don was genuinely interested in his son's and grandchildren's activities and was always there to share his knowledge to help them improve.
After 30 years of service, Don retired as a General Supervisor at Oldsmobile. His activities included being a long-time member of the Downtown Lansing YMCA/LYAC and a 6o-year member of the Oldsmobile Outdoor Club. He truly enjoyed playing and coaching men's softball in the Lansing and Portland area, which included several state championships and national finalists. He enjoyed softball so much he worked for Triple Crown Sports (Fort Collins, Col) for several years after retirement.
Don was also an avid gardener for his family and neighbors and a lifelong ice fisherman at Houghton Lake. He joined the Houghton Lake, Lake Association several years ago to be an advocate and active voice for the sportsman that utilize this beautiful lake. Don also spent more than 60 years competing and supporting the Tip-up Town USA fishing contest and in his honor, the 'Lambie Lunker Award' is given out each year.

The Celebration of Life will be Held at (Reception Hall) Eagle Park, Eagle MI, 48822 on October 4th from 1-4pm.
