Jeffrey L. Prieur Obituary
Jeffrey Lee Prieur of Kawkawlin, MI passed away unexpectedly on Sunday August 10, 2025 at his residence. Jeff was born on January 26, 1958 to Leon and Joyce (Wendt) Prieur. Jeff was a 1976 graduate of Garber High School. He worked for General Motors UAW local 699. Jeff enjoyed spending time riding his Harley, camping and relaxing with family and friends. He was always ready to lend a helping hand on all kinds of carpentry projects for his family, friends and neighbors. Jeff was an avid hunter, fishermen and outdoorsmen. Jeff also enjoyed golfing and playing darts. Jeff spent a lot of time teaching his grandsons the ins and outs of fishing.
Jeff is survived by his children Leon Prieur and Erica Yost (Teran Hutchens). Jeff was a beloved papa also known as "PB" to his five grandchildren: Ayden, Natalie, Jack, Liam and Cole. His significant other Jill Leffring and her family and their beloved dog, Kiddie. Jeff is also survived by the mother of his children, Judy Prieur. His siblings Richard (Sandy) Prieur, Penny Zacharko, and Terrie (Ted) Freilach. Many nieces and nephews who he also adored.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Joyce Prieur. His sisters Pam Burgeson and Holly Hackborn. His brothers in law Gary Burgeson and Roger Zacharko. Nephew Jeff VanOchten and son in law Chad Yost.
Funeral services and viewing will take place on Saturday August 16, 2025 at Rivertown Funeral Chapel 209 S. Huron Road Kawkawlin, MI 48631 from 12pm-3pm with the memorial service starting at 3 with Pastor Roger Bauer presiding.
