John L. Beauchamp Obituary
John "Jack" Beauchamp, age 87, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland, Michigan. Born in Bay City on December 10, 1938, Jack was the son of the late Marion and Clara (Duffield) Beauchamp. A proud graduate of Handy High School, Class of 1956, Jack married Linda (Roby) Beauchamp in 1957, and together they shared many years until 1983.
On December 12, 1987, he married Betty (Briggs) Beauchamp, who preceded him in death on August 26, 2016. Jack devoted his life to family, faith, and community. He served as a Boy Scout leader for many years, played Santa for area families for 25 years, and was a faithful member of the Community of Christ Church.
Professionally, Jack worked in manufacturing at Defoe Shipyard and Industrial Brownhoist before retiring from General Motors in 1993 as a Millwright. In retirement, Jack embraced the hobbies he loved most—woodworking, hunting, and fishing—pursuits that reflected his appreciation for craftsmanship and the beauty of the outdoors. His life was rich with love, laughter, and treasured memories shared with family and friends.
Jack is survived by his sons David (Tammy) and Ted (Jenny) Beauchamp; Ken (Kelly) Briggs; and daughter-in-law Michelle Beauchamp. He was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Linda; his second wife, Betty; his brother Jerald Beauchamp; his sons Randy Beauchamp and Roland Briggs; and one great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday. December 17th at Rivertown Funeral Chapel at 4:00 p.m., with Elder Gary Gordier presiding with burial in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services.
