Karen J. Barrett Obituary
Karen Joan Barrett, born on October 24, 1959, peacefully embarked on her final journey on June 8, 2025, embraced by the love of her daughter and family, after a valiant four-year dance with cancer. Her spirit, however, remains eternally vibrant in our hearts.
For decades, Karen shone brightly in Bay Area Real Estate, not just as a realtor, but as a beacon of dedication and integrity. Yet, her true masterpiece was the love she poured into her family. Her daughter, Cayla (Sam) Anderson, and her cherished grandchildren, Jayden Smith, Ashton Smith, and Blaikley Anderson, were the very essence of her being, each moment with them a treasure. She held a special place in her heart for her bonus grandchildren, Maddisyn, Brantley, and Avery Anderson, embracing them as her own. With a wit that sparkled and a heart that embraced all, Karen had a rare gift for making everyone feel seen and loved. Her bond with her loving sisters, Kristy (Ernie) Rahn and Sandra Barrett, was a source of immense joy and strength, alongside her nieces and nephews—Ryan (Corynna) Rahn, Brooke (Elijah) Getty, Blake (Ashley) Barrett, Tiffany (Cole) Schmidt, Elisa Barrett (Alec) and Alex (Maria) Barrett—was a testament to the deep connections she fostered. A special gratitude to her niece Brooke Getty, for her unwavering care and dedication as her nurse during her times of need. Not to be forgotten, Karen's amazing friend group, the "seven sisters," shared countless laughs and unforgettable memories, enriching her life in immeasurable ways.
Now, Karen joins her beloved parents, Robert and Joan Barrett, and her siblings, Kevin, Patrick, and Kathleen Barrett, in a peaceful reunion. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering strength will forever illuminate our lives.
