Karter P. Auch Obituary
Karter AuchMidland, MichiganIt is with broken hearts that we announce that Karter Auch was taken from us too soon in a tragic accident on February 18th, 2026. He was born at Grayling Hospital on Sept 5th, 2009 to parents Patrick and Amber (Sajdak) Auch. Karter attended Bay City Western High School and the Bay-Arenac ISD Career Center. He had hopes of becoming a lineman. Karter spent most of his time playing videogames, hunting, and fishing, both with his Papa and Dad (his hunting and fishing buddy). He also spent time at school, career center, work and fishing with his best friend Blake Smith. He was grateful to have been given the opportunity to work for Nathan Smith Builders and loved that paycheck. Karter had the ability to learn things quickly, he was an outstanding welder, and took pride in his car (even though he wanted a truck, he loved the cars gas mileage). Karter was an old soul who could tell you anything about history, wars, guns, and politics. He loved to push buttons and test the limits. His quick wit and storytelling (which you could only believe 60% of the time) will be missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his parents Patrick and Amber Auch, his big sister Lexie Auch and dog Hank. Grandparents: Tom (hunting buddy) and Diane Sajdak, Carolyn Auch, and Richard Auch. Aunts/Uncles: Holly (Brian) Nickless, Christina (Jason) Cray, Lisa (Kevin) Farrell, Matt (Connie) Auch, MaryBeth (Josh) Auch, and EJ (Mandi) Auch. Cousins: Josh (Emma), Cole, Logan, Adrienna, Katie (Erik), Ian, Cole, Lauren, Evan, Matthew, Tony, Abby, Owen, John, Haley (Ethan), Chelsey (Caden), Alexus, Cameron, Lily, Keagan, Penelope, and Karson. Special family members Dave and Danielle Rivard. Many great aunts and uncles that he was fortunate to have had in his life. He will join in heaven his Uncle Wade Sajdak, his great grandparents, and his good friend Landin Kukla.
A service will be Friday February 27, 2026 at Rivertown Funeral Chapel in Kawkawlin at 7pm with family sharing to follow. Visitation will be on Friday from 12:00 to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family ask for donation to family wishes.
