Loren G. Lemon Obituary

Loren G. Lemon, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully at his home on June 22, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on September 19, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Lester and Lucille (Schaefer) Lemon, Loren's life was a testament to his dedication to his family, his work, and his passions.

Loren's journey began in Detroit, but his heart found its home when he married the love of his life, Frances Dahlgren, on February 3, 1962, in Farmington Hills. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, eventually settling on Secor Lake, Gladwin after retirement. The couple enjoyed many happy years before Frances's passing in 2017, after 55 years of marriage. Loren's legacy continues through his children, Brett (Debbie) Lemon and Laura (Joe) Vaughn, his six grandchildren, Alex, Ryan, Trevor, Chase, Lindsay, and Lauren, and his two great-grandchildren, Nora and Anthony, who will forever cherish his memory. Loren is also survived by his sibling, Larry Lemon, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories.

Professionally, Loren retired from Ford Motor Co after a distinguished 35-year career, where he worked at the Romeo Proving Grounds as a supervisor. His work ethic and leadership were respected by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Loren's interests were as diverse as they were engaging. An avid lover of the water, he could often be found on his jet ski or driving his pontoon boat, embracing the serenity and excitement of the lakes he so loved. His hands were rarely still, as he took pleasure in working in his yard and fixing things around the house, a testament to his handy nature. Loren's stories were a source of joy for his friends and family, as he had a knack for sharing tales that captivated and entertained, leaving a lasting impression on all who heard them.

Inurnment will take place at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, Novi, Michigan at a later time.
