Lorna Rose Rodriguez Obituary

Lorna R. Rodriguez, a vibrant soul whose laughter and love infused every aspect of her life, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, at the Comfort Care of Bay City, Michigan. She was born in Bay City, Lorna's journey was marked by an unwavering dedication to her family, her faith, and her community.

Lorna's legacy is lovingly carried on by her family, whom she cherished more than anything. She was the proud mother of three daughters, Sharon (James) Larocque, Vonnie (Dale) Lazarowicz, and Lynette (Steven) Roth; a son, Edward (Deborah) Curler; and a stepson, Randall (Amy) Rodriguez. Her twelve grandchildren, Andrew (Majorie) Dixon, Gregory Dixon, Justin (Emily) Larocque, Christopher Larocque, Kraig Lazarowicz, Nicole (Dennis) Jones, Shannon Stevens, Arielle Roth, Megan Stevens, Kelsey Curler, Aaron Rodriguez, and Robin (Noah) Schoenherr, and her eight great-grandchildren, Madison Larocque, Tyler Lazarowicz, Haley Lazarowicz, Avery Jones, Nolan Jones, and Elyse Jones, will miss her deeply. Each of them carries a part of her spirit, her teachings, and her love for the Lord and Savior.

Lorna's remarkable ability to balance life's demands was evident in how she raised her family while contributing significantly to the growth of one of Michigan's top-selling Honda franchises. Despite her busy schedule, she always found time to enjoy life's simple pleasures, like fishing on the boat "Pride and Joy" with her beloved husband, Mike, and surrounding herself with family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Alvin Edward Curler and Mike Rodriguez, and her parents, Oscar and Freida Haberlan. Yet, her memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Lorna's work history and community involvement were a testament to her character. Her name was synonymous with kindness and genuine concern, as reflected in the countless stories shared by those whose lives she touched, whether by selling them their first motorcycle or offering a listening ear. She was a cherished member of both the Red Hat Club and the Moose, and her presence will be sorely missed.

Her passion for people was matched only by her love for music, dancing, and her family. Lorna was always the first to dress up for an occasion and the last to leave the dance floor, ensuring everyone felt included and had a fantastic time.

Funeral services will be on Friday October 24, 2025 at 5pm with Pastor Charles Campbell presiding with private burial on Monday at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday at Rivertown Funeral Chapel from 11am till time of service.
