Lyle Paige Obituary
Lyle Claire Paige Our Beloved Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, passed away peacefully Friday April 25th, 2025, at Bay Shores Nursing Facility following a long battle with declining health issues at the graceful age of 90 years old.
He was Born on November 4th, 1934, in Kawkawlin Michigan to Howard C. Paige and Beatrice Pearl Paige (Corry). He graduated in 1954 from T.L. Handy High School and entered into military duty after receiving his secondary education. He soon after married the love of his life and high school sweetheart Sandra Lee McGirr who preceded him in death. They raised three boys David, Scott, and Brian.
Lyle retired from the Dow Corning Corporation in the 1980's from the years of early Silicon production work, to enjoy the home life that he revered immensely.
Lyle will be remembered by family and friends for his love and execution of many things. His early association with woodworking and building trades led him into a passion of creating whatever he dreamed, into being. He built his own 3 car garage that would not hold automobiles. That space was for saws, routers, sanders, planers and other implements of creation to satisfy the spark that was only just a part of his Life. He and Sandra would grow a huge garden each year and feed not only his immediate family but all their friends and neighbors that were in that sharing and caring circle.
He and Sandra loved INDY and NASCAR racing as season ticket holders in many tracks, as well was their annual trek to Lakeland FL to watch the early Detroit Tigers in pre-season warmup Camp. His Love of Deer Hunting was paralleled only by his brothers and children who went on the annual hoofed stalk.
Lyle is survived by Their Children, David (Corrie), Scott (Mary), and Brian.
Eight Grandchildren, Jaron, Lindsay Beaudry (David), Britton Garelari, Shane, Lisa, Zachery (Allison), Isaiah, and Aaron.
Five Great Grandchildren Gabriel Paige, Alaya and Torin Beaudry, Lucas and Amelia Paige.
The Family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to the caregivers and staff at Bay Shores Facility who helped him through the difficult times of his last months with us.
Visitation will be held at Rivertown Funeral Chapel in Kawkawlin, MI on Thursday, May 1st from 11-4 pm with Pastor Randall Waibel presiding, with funeral Service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Santa House Bay City or the Alzheimer's Association in Lyle's memory.
