It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beverly Strait of Kentwood, Michigan, who passed away on December 2, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Beverly Strait to pay them a last tribute.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Beverly shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Beverly farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Richard Strait; her parents, Oscar Cory and Millie Cory; her children, Todd Strait (Astrid), Kathie Chambers (Tim), Jim Strait (Shannon) and Diane "Dee" Dykema (Russ); and her siblings, Ed Cory and Vicki Steensma. She was also cherished by 23 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stroo Funeral Home (1095 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alaska Baptist Church.
