He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Zander and Helen Zander (Smigelski); his brother Gary Zander; and his brother-in-law Larry Szatkowski. He is survived by: his wife Jan; his daughters, Kristin Ebert (Pat) and Michelle Howarth (Jim Lillibridge); his grandchildren, Ben Ebert (Emily Keefe), Katherine Ebert, Trilby Howarth and Fin Howarth; and his siblings, Carolyn Szatkowski (Larry), Peggi Zander and Steve Zander (Kristie).
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (143 Charles, Elk Rapids, MI 49629). A Mass was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
