Ivan John Foerster Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ivan John Foerster of Kewadin, Michigan, born in Bay City, Michigan, who passed away on June 16, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Edwin Foerster and Clara Foerster (Meyer); and his siblings, Nelson Foerster, Kenneth Foerster, Luella Savage, Harriet Leinberger, Arlene Bennett and Baby.

He is survived by : his children, Michael Foerster (Nancy), James Foerster, Debra Strawbridge (Dave), Linda Plomer (James) and Charles Foerster (Mary); and his sister Bernice Mehl. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

Corky Smith wrote a sympathy message

“We have learned of Ivan’s passing with sadness but rejoice in his long life and all the wonderful memories he left, in particular in the beautiful homes he designed and built. We enjoyed sitting with Ivan as he put the finishing touches on our plans for the home we envisioned on Torch Lake. When we lived there we cherished waving as we boated by or stopping in to visit. Ivan was a lovely man who will be missed. Corky and Larry Smith Now of Maui, Hawai’i”
