He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis "Frank" Houghton and Dorothy Houghton (Harrigan); and his sisters, Joann Bembeneck (Ray), Nancy Frye (Charlie), Ruth Stevens (Charlie), Margaret "Peg" Knight (Bob) and Susan "Susie" Morgan (Freda).

He is survived by: his children, Chad Houghton and Michelle "Shelli" Houghton; his grandchildren, Michael Houghton (Lorie), Mykayla Houghton, Frank Houghton (Jaimie), Lucas Russell, Sasha Russell, David Russell (Amanda), Amanda Storms (Steve), Matt Isaacson and Ryan Russell (Jen); and his pet Muffin.
