He was predeceased by: his parents, Montgomery Vanderpool and Marie Vanderpool (Strassberg); and his siblings, Sonny Vanderpool, Peter Rodriguez, John Vanderpool, Susan Jando, Ginger Reamer (Virginia), Beth Walk (Elizabeth), Mary Brown and Marqueta Corl.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Phillips of Kingston; his children, Maria Webb (James) of Lexington, Basil Vanderpool of Kingston, Gerald Vanderpool (Heather) of Caro and Angela Vanderpool of Caro; his grandchildren, Alexia Duncan, James Webb, Amelia Webb, Brody Podvin, Sawyer Podvin, Trisha Vanderpool, Katlyn Vanderpool, Blaire Vanderpool, Melina Vanderpool, Gerald Vanderpool, Brionna Vanderpool, Leigha Vanderpool, Olivia Vanderpool and Basil Jagger Vanderpool; his great grandchildren, LaNiyah, LaMarr, Winston and Lilah; and his siblings, Alma Schram (Jim), Lisa Lyons (Ed), Juanita Phillips, Marie DeLisle (Tiny), Fred Rodriguez and Peggy Yesh. He is also survived by forty six nieces and nephews.
