He was predeceased by: his parents, James Volkenburg and Leona Van Volkenburg (Favel); his wife Delores Andor; his half-sister Helen Armstrong; and his brothers, Howard Van Volkenburg, Kenneth Van Volkenburg and W. Joseph Van Volkenburg.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Wozniak (Daniel) and Jeffery Van Volkenburg (Ruth); his grandchildren, Jessica Brown, Kyle Van Volkenburg (Leah), Laura Van Volkenburg, Michael Segorski and Lisa Segorski; his great grandchildren, Carisa, Annica, Kerry, Oliver, Casey, Jake, Mya, Isaiah, Jensen, Adalyn, Karsen, Damian, Lucas, Kaitlyn and Emma; his brother Abe Van Volkenburg; and his sister-in-law Caroline Van Volkenburg.
