He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Swanson and Helen Swanson (Baker); his brother Tim Swanson; and his nephews, Michael Stanhope and Matt Stone.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lee Swanson; his siblings, Dan Swanson and Connie Majeski (Mark); and his nieces and nephews, Teresa Koenig (Tony), Ronald Darling Jr., Paul Stone, Sarah Stanley (Shawn) and Hailey VanDuzers (Logan). He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions to be made to The Shiawassee Humane Society or Laingsburg Animal Clinic, organizations that reflect Donald's compassion for animals.
