He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kenneth and Josephine Louisa Austin (Woodworth); his wife Shirley Ann Austin (Walling); his stepmother Edna Austin; his siblings, Dorothy McCarthy (Patrick) and Bruce Austin (Judi); and his stepsisters, Janice Kirinovic (Frank) and Ann Clark.
He is survived by: his children, DeEtta Patrick (Jesse) of Port Charlotte, FL, Nanette Leodler of Ashley, MI, Holly Austin of Laingsburg, MI, Kim Winkler (Diane) of Traverse City, MI, Kristi Taylor (Bryon) of Bannister, MI and Kenda Ladd (David) of Fruitport, MI; his siblings, Marge Parmenter, Carol Bashore (Larry), David Austin (Bunny), Donald Austin (Kathleen) and Ronald Austin (Carole); and his brother-in-law Lyle Clark. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the United Church of Ovid (131 W Front St, Ovid, MI 48866). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
