He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald LaFountain and Shirley LaFountain (Ketchum); his siblings, Ronnie, Rodney, Ricky and Judy LaFountain; and his mother-in-law Carol Wagner.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Wagner; his children, Jessica Nicholson, Kristina Simmons (Shaun) and Joshua LaFountain (Maureen Herrell); his grandsons, Milo and Abner Simmons; his children, Juliana, Katharina Dunkel and Adam Ignacio; and his father-in-law Don Wagner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shiawassee County Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
