She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Ates; and her siblings, Demetrio (Danny), Patricia (Patsy) and Shirley. She is survived by: her children, George Jr. Saylon (Anna), Geri Ohashi (Mark), Mitchell Saylon, Mario Saylon, Rebecca Saylon and Ruvell Saylon; and her sister Clara Duncan. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
