Rex Root Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rex Root of Lake City, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 23, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Root and Ruby Opal Root (Reynnels); and his brothers, Harry, Ray, Wayne, Dallas and Glen.
He is survived by: his spouse Bethel Mae Luce; his daughters, Daris Rae Hughes, Denise Ann Coxon (Rod) and Dorine Mae Koster (Kevin); his grandchildren, McKenzie Hughes, Olivia Bellis (Antonio), Savannah Werner (Brandon), Victoria Battles (Gage), Zoe, Summer, Eden and Xander Coxon; and his sisters, Joyce Johnson (Bill), Linda Bainbridge and Ruthann (Harold). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
