He was predeceased by: his parents, Roman Thelen and Helen Thelen; and his grandson Carrington. He is survived by: his wife Frances Arlene Thelen (Miles); his children, Brian Thelen (Darlene), Theresa Winterstein (John), Patrick Thelen (Mary), Tina Gehrke (Bernie), Kathy Bell (Jeff) and Tim Thelen (Kelly); and his grandchildren, Troy, Andrea, Erica, Jessica, Mike, Matt, Mark, Julie, Christine, Jasara, Darcy, Brendan, Britnie, Tim, Samantha and Jordan. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.
