He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Lee Strohl and Lavinia Morgan Howells. He is survived by: his former wife Karen Strohl of Chicago; his daughter Katherine Morgan Strohl; his grandson Ned Ashman Strohl of Ottawa, Illinois; his siblings, Kingman Perkins Strohl (Linda McIntosh) of Cleveland, OH and Linda Keith Strohl of San Diego, CA; and his stepsiblings, Charles Greenleaf (Maureen Rooney) of Alexandria, VA, Marjorie (Paul), Vallière of Indianapolis, IN and Cynthia Greenleaf (Jonathan Fanton) of Hamden, CT. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sommerfeld Chapel (15 N Barton St, New Buffalo, MI 49117). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chikaming Country Club (15029 Lakeside Rd, Lakeside, MI 49116).
Some may choose to make a donation in Lee's name, and the family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the charity of one's choice, to Chikaming Open Lands, 12291 Red Arrow Hwy., Sawyer.
