She was predeceased by: her husband Russell; her son James (Jim); her parents, Sioda Barnes Smotherman and William Thomas Smotherman; and her siblings, Barbara Ann Howard, Betty Jean Foster, Thomas William Smotherman and Wallace Smotherman (Burl).
She is survived by: her daughter Deb Gossert; and her daughter-in-law Diana Gossert. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
