He was predeceased by: his parents, Sigler Shepherd and Mary Shepherd (Cornell); his wife Bonnie Shepherd (Oberle); his great grandchild Miles W. Shepherd; and his siblings, Viola, Raymond, Kelsey and Earl.
He is survived by: his children, Terri Ward (Mike), Paul Wesley (Laury) and Scott Edward Shepherd (Michaele); his grandchildren, Jill Long (Chris), Michael Ward (Anna), Zachary Shepherd (Heather), Jonathan Shepherd (Lexi), Derek Shepherd (Peyton), Lindsey Laurer (Grant), Thomas Shepherd (Samantha) and Joseph Shepherd (Amber); and his brother Ronald Shepherd. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
Those wishing to offer memorials are asked to consider, in lieu of flowers, tributes to Heartland Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
