He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Westman and Helvie Westman (Toyras); his sister Barbara Bolton; his brother-in-law Rodney Bolton; and his grandchild Thomas Westman.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Westman of L'Anse; his children, John Westman (Jennifer) of Baraga, Tracey Alessandroni (Greg) of L'Anse and Kristin Newland (Pat) of Green Bay, WI; his siblings, Terry Westman (Bonnie) of L'Anse and Diane Eshbach (Charlie) of Houghton; his grandchildren, Nick Alessandroni (Emily), Jen Alessandroni, Jordan Newland (Kailey), Jon Newland, Victor Westman and Izzie Westman; his great grandchildren, Savanna, Nicky, Benny and Finley; and his great great grandchildren, Ryan and Gina.
