He is survived by: his friend Bill W.; his son Dan Nestel (Teri); his grandchildren, Erik Nestel (Meghan) of Sandy, UT and Tiara Nestel (Sean Rapanshek) of Hawaii; his sister Maija Rothenberg of Chicago; and his nieces and nephews, Todd Moilanen (Jen) of Beverly Hills, Karl Moilanen (Patty O'Leary) of Plymouth, Rowan Balagot of Chicago and Alana Balagot (Becca Louisell) of Los Angeles.
