He was predeceased by : his mother Betty Sweeney (Tripp); his wife Asenath Stein; his brothers, Donald Sweeney and David Sweeney; his father Albert "Bud" Sweeney; and his stepparents, Karen Sweeney and John Stopel.
He is survived by : his children, Tracie Sweeney (John Burrow) of Nampa, Cheryl Mills (Doug) of Aura and Brandon Sweeney of L'Anse; his grandchildren, Rebecca Ketterhagen (Austin), Rachel Mills, Sarah Mills, Caleb Sweeney, Kegan Sweeney, Kolyn Sweeney and Adelyn Snyder; his great grandchild Sadie Ketterhagen; his cousin Terry Tripp; his brother Wallace "Buddy" Sweeney (Jane); and his stepsisters, Eileen Glenn, Kathleen Hietala, Jeannie Kangas and Lucille Koskinen.
