She was predeceased by: her parents, Letha Mae and Homer Sylvester; her husband Bruce Harold Leavitt; her brother Joe Arthur Greenhoe; and her sister-in-law Elizabeth "Betty" Garfield.

She is survived by: her children, Scott Leavitt (Paula Lamont) and Jane Leavitt Anderson; her son-in-law Steve Anderson; her grandchildren, Keely E. Knopp of Asheville and Kyle L. Knopp (Lauren) of East Haven, Connecticut; and her friend Mary Jane "Janie" Wilson.
