She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Bonilla and Concepcion Bonilla; her siblings, Emanuel Bonilla, Luis Bonilla, Gabriel Bonilla, Juan Bonilla Jr., Benita Archer and Felicita "Phyllis" Bonilla; and her son-in-law Charlie "Carlos" Benitez.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Smith; her children, Lucy Benitez, Higinio Rivera and Carlos Vasquez; her siblings, Miguel Bonilla, Daniel Bonilla, Delfina Wallace, Felipa Castillo, Ruth Bonilla and Angela Perez; and her grandchildren, Anbrocio, Anita, Adam, Adela, Eugene, Jinine, Jessica and Alexis. She is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews as well as many extended family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lansing and Stoneleigh Residence, or The Arthritis Foundation Michigan in memory of Catalina "Katy" Smith.
