With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Albert Kienitz (Lansing, Michigan), who passed away on September 11, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Kienitz and Ethel Kienitz (Folting); his former wife Margaret Kienitz; and his brothers, Dr. Ronald Kienitz, James Kienitz and Michael Kienitz.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Kienitz (Sample); his children, Theresa Foster, Dave Kienitz (Staci), Mike Kienitz (Tiffany Warnaar), Jeremy Kienitz (Kim), Eric Kienitz (Kristin), David Boes (Jeanie), Velvet Wall (Tom) and Dena Smith (Pete); his grandchildren, Stephen, Jessica, Karissa, McKenzie (Michael), Alexia, Dalton, Austin (Shalanda), Taylor, Kora, Sydney (Ryan) and Rorie (Kaili); and his sisters, Linda Molitor (Gerry), Kathy Kienitz and Julie Peak. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society in memory of Dan.
