He is survived by: his wife Dolores Appling; his daughters, Tamecka Mahoney (Kevin), Latasha Smith, Crystal Cook, Tiffany Johnson (Dennis) and Dominique Appling; his godchildren, Sharron Langford and Nic Jackson; his grandchildren, Darian Lykes, Ke'Shawn Whitlow, Jaiden Burks, Diamond Stars, Tajanae Whitlow, Amaya Holt, Alayah Holt, Dennis Johnson III, Damani Glover, Brianna Mahoney, Tristan Johnson, Jaleel Glover and Javan Anderson; his great grandchildren, Jeremiah Tena and Imani Robertson; his sister Ruby Wadley; and his friends, Patricia Gun, Pamela Neal, Helen Williams, Calvin Langford and William Gottschalk.
