He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse P. Parks and Vera L. Parks (Alger); his wife Ruth Strong; his son Howard Parks (Diane); and his brothers, Max (Doris), Loren (Virginia), Dexter (Fern) and Lyle (Pat).
He is survived by: his children, Janice Kolk (Gary), Doug Parks (late Sandy), Jessica Leathers (late David) and Juliane Bakos (David); his grandchildren, Norman Kolk, Heather Robel (Eric), Kristen Schnepel (Shaun) and Mason Leathers; and his brother-in-law Ralph Strong (Audrey). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
