With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Lopez Sr. (Lansing, Michigan), who passed away on May 7, 2026 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As David departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maximo Lopez Sr. and Lucia Dimas Lopez; and his siblings, Pedro Vicente Lopez Sr., John Lopez and Juanita "Jane" Lopez.
He is survived by: his siblings, Adam Lopez, Rudy Lopez, Maximo Lopez Jr. and Dianne Linda Lopez; and his children, David Lopez Jr., Asia Lopez-Chard and Nancy Lopez-Pickering. He is also survived by his grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gorsline Runciman Tiffany Chapel (3232 W Saginaw St, Lansing, MI 48917).
