He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Shappell and Mary Shappell (LaManna); and his wife Betty Shappell. He is survived by: his brother Mark Shappell; and his stepchildren, Cindy Moon, Karlene Kerkes and Frank Kerkes. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
