Elizabeth Drayton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Drayton of Lansing, Michigan, born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mitchell and Annie Phillips Mitchell; her children, Willy Drayton, Sarah Drayton and Ernestine Drayton; and her siblings, Leola Brockington, Virginia McCall, Marjorie Phillips, Ruby Vance, Paul Mitchell, Willie Mitchell, Leroy Mitchell, Joseph Mitchell, James Mitchell and Jessie Mitchell.

She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Childs (Dennis) of Lansing, MI; and her siblings, Vivian Wright of Florence, SC, Essex Phillips of Dayton, OH and Leroy Phillips (Angie) of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and a host great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
