With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emma Gene Barr of Lansing, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 16, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Kohlhouse and Adeline Kohlhouse (Vandermolen); her sisters, Tammy Wolosecky and Julie Eastman; and her son-in-law Chuck Vrabel.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Vrabel; her grandson Corey Weathers; her son-in-law Matthew Weathers; her sister Mary Brzozwsky; and her brothers-in-law, Stan Brzozwsky, Tom Eastman and Wes Wolosecky.
Emma's exceptional contributions to education were recognized when she was honored with the prestigious Who's Who of Michigan Teachers award.
