She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse "Pete" Decker and Gertrude Nass (Rauschenberger); her husband James "Jim" Genson; and her daughter-in-law Debbie Burnham. She is survived by: her children, Allen Burnham (Patricia) of Hanover, Michigan, Ronda Kowtko (Rob) of Sault Ste, Alena Dollarhite of Lansing, Michigan and Jeff Dollarhite of Lansing, Michigan; and her stepchildren, Julie Genson, John Genson and Joel Genson (Missy). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 14 nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gorsline Runciman Lansing Chapel (900 E Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI 48912).
