He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Barnhart and Marilyn Barnhart (Sanders); his siblings, Joe Barnhart, Peggy Strait and Tom Barnhart; and his brother-in-law Scott Kalis.

He is survived by: his wife Connie Barnhart; his children, Tammy Tench (Jeffrey), Trisha Harkins (Ted), Christy Whitford (Mitch) and Logan Barnhart; his grandchildren, Erick Whitford, Brendan Whitford (Kelsie), Cody Whitford, MaKenzie Whitford, Jaxxon Whitford and Chace Whitford; his children, Buddy Curtin, Skylar Augustine, Cole Harkins and Tucker Harkins; his great great grandchildren, Sylar Craft, Boone Craft, Otto Whitford and Zoey Copus; and his sister Penny Kalis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
