John Albert Post Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Albert Post (Lansing, Michigan), born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on December 31, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Post and Helene Post (Ritchey); his brother Gerald of Colleyville; and his daughter-in-law Merris Hollingsworth. He is survived by: his wife Barbara of God's Heaven; his children, Stephen Post (Jane) and Mary Post (Merris Hollingsworth); his granddaughters, Stephanie Boblooch (Benjamin) and Justine Hammond (Andrew); his great grandchildren, Alma, Clara, Mateo, Dorothy and Edith; his sister-in-law Polly Post; and his close friend Virginia McAvoy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor his memory are encouraged to contribute to St. David's Episcopal Church in Lansing, Michigan, the Tri-County Office on Aging: Meals on Wheels Program, or Camp Daggett in Petoskey, Michigan.
