We are sad to announce that on November 12, 2025, at the age of 88, Julius Brotherton of Lansing, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Julius' memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Julius' journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Brotherton and Inez Brotherton (Wallace); his sons-in-law, Michael Hurd and Scott Langworthy; and his brother Alvin Brotherton.
He is survived by: his wife Margarette Brotherton; his children, Julie Hurd, Janet Langworthy, Diana Young (Michael) and James Brotherton (Tammy); and his sister Sherry Cummins. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Skinner Funeral Home - Lansing Chapel (101 W Jolly Rd, Lansing, MI 48910). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
