He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Evelyn Shelley (Dillard) and Billy Joe Shelley; and his brother Quentin Shelley. He is survived by: his wife Irene Shelley (Walles ElBenni); his children, Mona Walter (Kevin) of Lansing and Adam ElBenni (Jennifer) of Granger, Indiana; his grandchildren, Ava, Luke Walter, Benjamin and Thomas ElBenni; and his sisters, Cynthia Shelley of Strafford, Lydia Shelley of Loveland and Amelia Shelley (Jim Reuss) of Vancouver. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
