She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Powers and Frances Powers (Louwaert); her husbands, Gerald I. Gabrion, William E. Barber and John K. Sherrill; her daughter Sally Sherrill; her siblings, Charles, Robert Powers, Shirley Slusser and Charlene Billard; and her granddaughter Elizabeth Merrifield (Lankford).
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Bailey, Robin Lankford (Marty), William Barber and Robert Barber; her grandchildren, John, Amy, Tim of Marsha, J. D., Margaret and Shay; and her sister Sandra Fleckenstein (John). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
