She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl H. Luce and Martha Dudley Luce; and her husband Jack Bates. She is survived by: her children, Martha Ford (Jerry), Nancy Bates and Robert Bates; her grandchildren, Margaret "Maggie" Wurtzebach (Matt), Louis Ford, Bryan Kendrick (Amanda), Kathlyn Kendrick (Derrick Redman), Christel Kendrick, Joshua Lettieri (Jess), Matthew Karkos and Seth Bates; and her great grandchildren, Jackson, Wyatt, Colton, Ava, Lilyanne, Nevaeh, Julian, Gabriel, Olive, Draven, Guinevere and Milo. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and cousins.
