He was predeceased by : his father Paul Halstead. He is survived by : his mother Ruth Ann Halstead; his siblings, Dan Halstead and Denise Woods; his nephew Bruce Woods; and his friend Marie. He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family.

Memorials may be made in his name to Greater Lansing Food Bank or to the Capital Area Humane Society.
