With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael James Heiple (Lansing, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 19, 2026 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert and Eleanor Jean Heiple (Dysinger); his wife Karen Love; his parents-in-law, Glen Jr. and Janis Love; and his siblings-in-law, David Crawford, Linda Heiple and Debra Love.
He is survived by: his friends, Mike, Mary Cole, Curt and Shari Clymer; his cousins, Danny and Dennis St. James; his children, Julie Halsey (Bryan) of Smithfield, VA and Michael Heiple (Alicia) of Eaton Rapids, MI; his grandchildren, Mason, Adia, Ashlynn, Logan and Ella; his siblings, Joy Harris, Marie Crawford (David) and Jimmy Heiple (Lynn); and his siblings-in-law, Kris Lostracco (Jerry), Bill Love (Becky) and Jim Love (Diane). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Durand VFW Post 2272 in honor of Mike's service to his country.
