We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2026, at the age of 94, Richard Franklin Kanode in Lansing, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Richard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rueben Kanode and Hazel Kanode; and his former wives, Jacqueline Redd Mauley and Patricia Vander Jagt Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carol.
